UN:BLOCK is the largest blockchain, fintech, and digital assets conference in Riga, Northern Europe. In 2025, more than 1,200 attendees, 250 companies, and 100 speakers from 40 countries came together in Riga to accelerate Web3 and financial innovation. Over two days, the event featured keynotes, panels, and interactive sessions on regulation, adoption, blockchain’s real-world impact, and the future of finance and banking. The VIP UN:BLOCK Dinner brought together over 200 leaders from policy, traditional banking, finance, and technology, while exclusive partner-hosted side events created additional spaces for networking and collaboration.

The prize pool is backed by a strong lineup of investors and partners. LatBAN, Silicon Valley Ventures, Value X, and Accelerace are among the venture partners participating in the competition, offering investment opportunities for the most compelling founders in the blockchain and fintech space.

Mastercard Lighthouse, the leading fintech partnership platform in the Nordics and Baltics, joins as a prize partner, bringing its extensive network of major banks, corporate partners, and 140+ investors spanning Europe, the UK, and North America.

The winning startup will gain access to the Mastercard Lighthouse programme, opening doors to direct partnership discussions with tier-1 banks, strategic mentorship from Mastercard and industry experts, and a fast track into Mastercard's global Start Path startup engagement network.

Evotym, a leading HR services provider, will award €5,000 to support the winning startup's talent and hiring journey, reflecting the real operational challenges that come with scaling a company.

Last year's UN:BLOCK winners, Finforta, will also present a special sympathy prize, paying their success forward to the next generation of builders.

"The pitch competition is a natural extension of what UN:BLOCK stands for, connecting bold ideas with the capital and networks needed to make them real," said Davis Dargelis, Co-Founder of UN:BLOCK. "With €500,000 on the table and investors who truly understand the Web3 and fintech landscape, this is one of the most significant opportunities for blockchain founders in the region."
With 2,500+ attendees, 100+ speakers, and participants from across Europe and beyond, UN:BLOCK sits at the intersection of blockchain innovation, decentralised finance, and traditional financial infrastructure. The pitch competition will unfold across both of the conference's dedicated stages, one focused on blockchain and Web3 innovation, the other on fintech and the future of financial services.

Startups building in DeFi, tokenisation, payments, digital assets, RegTech, and adjacent spaces are encouraged to apply. The competition is open to early-stage companies that are ready to take their next step.
